  9. Don't know if this is on topic or not... but I recently downloaded
  10. a program called DiskSpareDevice (DISKSP16.lha) from my local BBS.
  11. I am surprised I had not heard of it before... it allows you to
  12. format any Amiga Low-Density disk to 984k !! and even allows you
  13. to format amiga High-Density disks to 1968k !!. WITHOUT any kind
  14. of compression scheme. In this age of high-density disks.. and most
  15. of us Amigans being stuck with low-density disks.. this is JUST
  16. the ticket for those wanting to get the most out of there floppy
  17. drives. I would think that this "device" would be distributed with
  18. any future releases of the OS. It's a -MUST- for me.. I only wish
  19. that it would gain wide acceptance throughout the Amiga community.
  20. As it is.. you have to make sure that the people you share disks
  21. with have the device installed. Distributing it with the OS would
  22. solve that problem.

  24. I applaud author Klaus Deppisch for his effort! And advize anyone
  25. interested in getting the most from there floppy drives to check
  26. the program out!
